Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

I love you so let’s…OK, this is a family-friendly post here, we will have none of that.

Poems, they have gotten such a bad rap over the years and every time a guy walks into a card store to find a card for his partner, he is hit with fairly innocuous cards that scream, “I am a love poem that is so syrupy that I beg you to take me home because that is what she will like even though you hate it.”

Alright, I have never actually heard any cards actually scream that but I bet if you listened hard enough, that would be the case.

The point is that poems, especially love poems, have gotten such a bad rap in these days of immediate tech of 144 characters or less. No one wants to take the time to considering being creative and giving a poem to their partner.

Here is the beauty of a poem. For one, it does not have to rhyme, you know. That’s great if it does, if you are into that kind of thing. The essential part of a poem is that it should reflect your feelings in a slightly different way than a love letter or note. It should definitely have a certain flow which can be taught through this site and others like it, although this is the best.

As a reflection of loves desire, your love poem should be sincere and from the heart and not have rhymes for rhymes sake and the way that you express yourself will have a unique style all unto its own.

At the heart of this communication is the ability you must have to feel free to express yourself. Not always an easy task and usually a poem is not a beginning but a natural step in th evolution of your Daily Love Routine.

Always remember that, like a love letter or note, it is not the words themselves but the  expression of love and the thought and care you put into it that will be eternal.
