The journey of the heart over these last couple of posts has guided us into a realm of self-discovery as we have learned the nuances of all that is possible in crafting love greeting cards.

If you have been following the journey, you may have wondered what is all the fuse about, right?

Well, it is about more than a love greeting card; it is about you as a person using a modern day vehicle that has meaning and importance to your partner in many ways.

My mother used to get cards and goofy little gifts from me when I was a kid that were crafted in art class or wherever and she used to say, “It is not the gift but the thought that counts.” When I was older, I thought it was just something you say when you get a gift that you don’t really like.

As I have grown in my appreciation of the journey of love we are all one, or strive to be on, I realize that the intent behind that statement is true. It is not the gift but the thought and effort that went into the gift.

You can see that something as simple as a love greeting card could have such a profound effect on your partner, especially if this is a new journey of the heart that you are taking.

So the completion of your love greeting card is a way to summarize everything you have been saying in a way that all makes sense. You want to end your card by again expressing gratitude for your partner, your life with them and what they mean to you. This is powerful and will help you to solidify your thoughts about your partner as well, at least it should.

Remember to stay away from flowery speech here as it may not be in harmony with what you have already written. You don’t want to get to the end and be perceived as having run out of things to say and then just have thrown in a bunch of platitudes.

Remember, a great ending can be the anchor for the beginning of a fantastic period of love.

Love greeting cards can be a powerful way to express yourself and you cannot imagine the effect on your partner when your heart and soul are laid bare within them. Always remember, however, that this is an extension of your love not something you are doing “Because you have to.” Treat the process with he respect and honor you have for your partner and you will never go wrong.

In every special occasion, be it birthdays, anniversaries, Valentines Day or just a day that you desire to express your love to your partner, there is an underlining love relationship that must transcend any special day.

So often I see people, especially men, get lost in the day and not the expression of what the day should mean. Quite frankly, to me every day is Valentines Day and should be treated as such. I feel so strongly about this that if you truly treat every day as special with your partner and have a daily routine of love, Valentines Day is but another day.

But that is a story for another post.

We are crafting a core of your love greeting cards and I want to start by saying that it would behoove  you to shy away from any message cards as it will detract from your message of love. If at all possible, get a blank card or one with a very simple message in which to write on.

Once you have set the tone in appreciation at the beginning of your card, now is the time to develop your core.

For arguments sake, we are saying this is an anniversary card, just so we have a frame of reference here. What you want to do with your core is to frame the day from a standpoint of what it means for you to be in that day with your partner.

First, you will want to tell your partner why they are important to you and why they have impacted your life the way they have. Be honest here as any flowery speech will be suspect.

Second, you seek to express to your partner the beauty you find in them from a mental standpoint. Why is this important? Well, it is not all about the physical, but how we relate the physical to the mental and spiritual that matters. It is important to relay that to your partner that they are more than the sum of their parts, so to speak.

Third, you then can talk of the physical beauty and why you find it so fulfilling to your heart. Remember, any one can be physical for the sake of being physical, but it takes a rare intellect to embrace the heart fully with the physical. Be one of the rare ones.
