My Favorite Sport; Watching Men Hunt For Greeting Cards In The Wild

Love Writings Inspires the Heart to Create Words that Gives Love its Life.
One of my favorite pastimes is to go into greeting card stores before a big holiday…well, a greeting card holiday at least, and watch as the men look blankly at the card isles trying to find some card that some freelance writer wrote for the masses that might say something loving for their partner.
Usually they are there out of guilt knowing that if something is not in hand when they arrive home, they will be cooked. So, usually with a heavy sigh, they grab one and hope that by signing their name on it, the card written by some guy named Joe or some lady named Mary, expresses their sentiment for their loving partner.
While usually the ladies say it is the thought that counts, you can betcha that if he would have walked into the house with a blank card with HIS feelings on the card that the night will have been that much sweeter.
Hey, it’s not his fault. Guys are generally taught to be dunces when it comes to writing “flowery stuff” (usually what they call it) and there is no reason that once or twice a year they can’t let the guy at the card company who wrote the card the beleaguered mate will eventually give his wife or girlfriend, tell that man, through the card, just how much he loves his wife or girlfriend.
Essentially what you are doing, if you didn’t get my oh, so subtle attempt at humor, is letting some lady or man express their love for your partner.
Really? That’s how you want it to go down? Well, whatever floats your boat.
Come on, guys, WORDS MEAN THINGS. I can guarantee that your mate will love a few paragraphs from the heart rather some flowery say-nothing card.
I can teach you, if you let me, and I can guarantee that you can become more than you think yourself capable. But if all else fails, let Joe or Mary have the corner on your love. It doesn’t matter to me.
In the End, Love is All There is so Let Your Words be Your Beginning.
